Robert Gogolashvili (born 1939) is a Georgian singer with a remarkable career. He led the folk song ensemble Fazisi from 1976 to 1983 and sang with Ensemble Tbilisi for an impressive 30 years , from 1980. His journey continued with the Georgian voices from 1992, showcasing his unwavering commitment to Georgian music.
Robert Gogolashvili’s musical journey is a testament to his versatility and influence. He graduated in 1969 from the State Conservatory of Tbilisi named after Vano Sarajishvili with a vocal degree and has since sung in various folk ensembles. His leadership roles include heading the folk song ensemble ‘Fazisi’ of the Georgian Academy of Sciences from 1976 to 1983, leading the male vocal ensembles ‘Tbilisi’ (1980-2010), ‘Georgian Voices’ (from 1992, founded in 1985 as ‘Journalist’), ‘University’ (1998-2007), and the folk song ensemble ‘Imers’ (from 2006). The repertoire of these ensembles includes ancient Georgian folk songs and hymns, Georgian city songs, and group works of Georgian composers.

Robert Gogolashvili’s contributions to Georgian music have been widely recognized. In 2013, he was awarded the honorary title of Georgian folk song winner by the Foundation’ Georgian Choir’.
