Georgia: The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia expresses deep sorrow over the death of Tristan Saralidze, the beloved actor. The Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports honors Tristan Saralidze’s memory and expresses condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Tristan Saralidze, a prominent actor of theater and film, worked in Rustavi State Dramatic Theater in 1978-79, and since 1980 he was an actor of Rustavi National Theater.

Tristan Saralidze was born on 25 May 1956. He was an actor known for Prikazano vzyat zhivym (1984), Pobeg na kray sveta (1991), and Velikij Pochod Za Nevestoj (1985). He died on 29 April 2024 in Georgia. 

He played a number of exciting roles on the stage of Rustaveli National Theater, including: Ocean (Esquille, “Chained Promethe”, director R. Sturua), Mechiraghdne (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, “The Little Prince”, director N. Sabashvili), the thug (T. Chiladze, “Role for a beginner actress”, director R. Sturua), Levan (T. Brecht, “Caucasian Chalk Circle”, director R. Sturua), killer (Shakespeare, “King Lyri”, director R. Sturua), Gocha (i. Samsonadze, “Easter at the abolished cemetery”, directors G. Head on, g. Barabadze), citizen, soldier (Calderon de la Barca, “Life is a Dream”, director R. Sturua), Cheishvili (n. Dumbadze, “Accusations Conclusion”, director R. Sturua), police officer (b. He also participated in The Gospel of Jacob, Stix, Magic Night, Christmas in Tbilisi, The Destiny of Kartli, New Year’s Eve, and the free theater play Provincial Story.

Notable are the roles he played in Rustavi Theater: Badri (“It’s Spring Beyond the Rails”) and Pea (“The Family of Crowns”).

He was a participant in the teleproject “Laughter Zone”. Tristan Saralidze was awarded the title of honorary citizen of Borjomi in 2010.
