Culture Ministry hosts Leuville Homeland Council Meeting

A regular meeting of the governing board of the Georgian homeland was held in the Ministry of Culture of Georgia. The meeting was headed by the Chairman of the Leuvvile Homeland’s Governing Council, Minister of Culture of Georgia, Tinatin Rukhadze.

The Ministry of Culture of Georgia shared glimpses of the regular meeting on its official Facebook Page on June 4, 2026, Thursday. The Georgian Culture Ministry also shared a small note about the discussions held at the meeting, along with its glimpses.

At the meeting, the issues on the agenda were discussed. The head of the Georgian Academy of Levil presented a report on the activities planned, implemented, and ongoing for the rehabilitation project of Leuvvile’s homeland; the representatives of the National Museum presented the concept and design of the exhibition space dedicated to the First Republic in Levili Homeland; and the representative of the National Library presented the project of Levil’s homeland.

At the meeting, the issue of the arrangement of the Georgian Cemetery of Levil was also discussed. Members of the Council discussed and liked the proposed projects and reports.

It was also noted that within the framework of the government’s commitments, rehabilitation works in Leuville’s homeland are at the final stage.

The meeting was attended by the members of the governing board of Leville’s homeland – including the Chairman of the National Agency for State Property, members of the families who signed the Sanotary Act for the transfer of Leville Homeland to Georgia, deputies of the Minister of Culture of Georgia, representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the National Museum and the National Library, emergency services of the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of France and Plenipotentiary Ambassador, General Director of the National Museum of Georgia, Leuvvile Head of Georgian Academy and French lawyer involved in the project.
