Georgia: With the esteemed support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia, A(a)ip International Society proudly presented the Poetic Mosaic, a unique joint collection of modern Georgian and Australian poets.
This significant literary work, published by Caucasian Mosaic, is a testament to the diverse and rich literary traditions of both nations and a must-read for all cultural and literary enthusiasts.
The event was graced by the presence of a diverse range of esteemed guests, including Tamaz Bestaev, Head of the South Ossetia Administration, Chairman of the State Language Department Giorgi Alibegashvili, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia Avtandil Arabuli, and a host of translators, linguists, and other specialists of the field. Their presence underscored the broad interest and support for the ‘Poetic Mosaic ‘.
The collection includes six modern Georgians and six poems of the same number of Aussie poets. Georgian authors of the book are Besik Kharanauli, Naira Bepiev, Giorgi Lobzhanidze, Nato Ingorokva, Irakli Kakabadze, Nino Sadghobelashvili, and Ossi authors: Roksalan (Meliton Kaziti), Totradz Kokaiti, Zalina Basiti, Batradz Kasati, Sergo Khugati, Igor Bulkati.
The poetic collection of modern Georgian and Aussie authors is not just a book but a masterpiece. It resembles a mosaic – a single piece of work crafted from different shapes and parts, composed of ornaments, and artistically conceived to reflect the essence of modernity.
The collection is not just a book but a symbol of achievement. It is the winning project of the prestigious competition ‘Promoting translation activities (Georgian, Abkhazian, Ossian)’ announced by the Ministry in 2023. Published in ‘Universal’ (edition 200), it is a testament to the Ministry’s commitment to promoting literary translation and a source of pride for all involved in this scholarly endeavor.
