Georgia: The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth of Georgia issued books for Hegel’s 35th International Jubilee Congress, held for the first time in Georgia and post-Soviet space.
Technical University of Georgia hosted the Hegel’s 35th International Jubilee Congress from September 30 to October 4, 2024. The theme of the Congress was “the idea of kindness and kindness in Hegel’s philosophy”.
The Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia has prepared publishing-cultural events planned within the Congress, among them, published in Georgian: M. Beriashvili, G. Lomaney, A. Polman’s “Free State and Democratic Constitutional Order”; Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel’s “Philosophy of Religion” – T. 1 and t. 2; Marcus Gabriel’s “Moral Advancement in Dark Times”; Walter Yeschke’s “Justice/Power, Religion and the World Experience in the Field of Tensions of German Classical Philosophy”; m. Kumis, G. Lomani’s and L. Zippi’s “Secular State VS Sacred State; Human Rights in the Context of Culture”; Emmanuel Kant’s “Anthropological and Political Works”; Teo Kobushi’s “Nature-Culture-Mind”. Each edition has 200 copies.
With the publication of this literature, the best works of German classical philosophy will become more accessible to Georgian society. In addition, the book fund needed for the educational process will be renewed.
These publications will promote the diversification of scientific literature published in the Georgian language. Literature will be used to develop new educational curricula, become mandatory or supportive literature, and be available in university libraries.
Cultural events were also held within the Congress, in particular, with the promotion of the Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports; the visit of pianist Professor Vladimir Stupel was held for Congress participants and guests. Concert – “About morality in music” – was held on October 3.
The pianist presented a French-German program with works by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and Paul Dukas and talked about the interplay of music and philosophy.
