The Georgian health authorities said that the country has reported 6,847 new cases of Coronavirus, with 9,003 recoveries and 36 deaths in the past 24 hours. The positivity rate for the past two weeks in Georgia stands at 25.18 per cent.
Overall, there are currently 82,930 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.Â
Moreover, as per the figures given by health authorities, a total of 37,226 tests were conducted all over the country within the last 24 hours, out of which 25,213 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 12,013 were PCR tests.
Around 387 vaccinations have been administered within the last 24 hours.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,612,319 cases of Coronavirus. Out of 1,612,319 cases of COVID-19, a total of 1,513,164 patients have recovered, while 16,199 people have succumbed to it.

The new Omicron variant of Coronavirus accounts for about 85% of confirmed Covid-19 cases.
Furthermore, there are currently 4,479 patients who are undergoing treatment in hospitals in Georgia, while 78,451 people are undergoing treatment at home and by consulting their family doctors.
Besides this, 1,000 people infected with COVID-19 are in critical condition, out of which 279 people are on artificial ventilation.Â
A total of 1,350,685 people have received at least one dose of any vaccine in the country so far, while 1,246,851 people have been fully vaccinated, amounting to 43 per cent of the country’s adult population, and 223,010 have received booster shots of the vaccine.Â
As of today, around 33.5% of the total population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which accounts for 12.5L people. As of now, around 29L doses of vaccine has been given.
