Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia offer his deep condolences to family of Niko Lekishvili. Niko Lekishvili was former Mayor of capital city Tbilisi and known for his number of reforms for welfare of citizens.
While remerging the contribution of former Mayor Prime Minister stated that, “The death of Niko Lekishvili, is not personal loss to family, but this is also a big loss to all of us.”
PM while speaking further added that, this this difficult time, I would like to share my deep condolences to the family of former Mayor Niko Lekishvili and also assure them that the government will do its best to help the family of former Mayor.
PM also underlined how the former Mayor of Municipality make Tbilisi one of the best cities. Moreover, his efforts also bring joy to the citizens of other Georgian cities with his efforts in direction of development also.
It is worth to mention that the tenure of Mayor span between 1993 to 1995. He served as the state minister of Georgia from year 1995 to 1998 also.
He is one of renowned leader of Georgia who co-signed the Act of Restoration of Georgia’s State Independence. This historic pact was signed in the year of 1991.
The minister also added that in the coming year the life of former Mayor will be source of inspiration for all of us. He stated specifically that Georgia need more leader like former Mayor who can lead the nation to new heights with their dedication and hard work.
It is also very important to know that capital city has transformed in multiple way. The former Mayor took initiative to provide most of civic facility which were lacking before his tenure as the Mayor of Tbilisi in his short tenure also.
The social media of Georgia is also flooded with condolences message. The people from Georgia also said that the contribution of former Mayor will be remembered forever.
