Tbilisi: The official representatives of Georgia’s defence agencies hosted a delegation from the French Ministry of Armed Forces for Europe, North America, and the representatives of Service of Multilateral Cooperation. They discussed cooperation in the field of defence.
It is to be specifically mentioned that Georgia has previously shared deep defence ties with France. Besides the Defence ties both countries also have a deep interaction in the fields of politics, economy, and trade. Defence, law enforcement, and parliamentary relations as well.
It should also be added that the relations between both countries are also getting stronger in bilateral and multilateral formats. Georgia’s Ministry of Defence also took to its social media pages to provide information in this regard.
Ministry of Defence stated on its official Facebook page that “Georgia’s defence agencies hosted a delegation from the French Ministry of Armed Forces for Europe, North America and the Service of Multilateral Cooperation. Deputy Commander of the Defense Forces of Georgia Brigadier General Irakli Chichinadze thanked the head of the French delegation Alexander Escorsia for a visit and for their solid support and dynamic cooperation in the field of defence”.
The meeting celebrated France’s successful relationship and values-based cooperation with Georgia which was successfully carried out at both strategic and tactical-operational levels.
On this occasion the guests of the visiting delegation were introduced to the transformation process of Georgian defence forces implemented and ongoing reforms and the contribution of France in strengthening Georgia’s defence capability and bringing it closer to Euro-Atlantic structures.
At the same time during the meeting held at the Ministry of Defense the ongoing issues of bilateral cooperation and the priorities of the agency’s future activities were discussed. The both sides expressed hope that cooperation in different directions will be even deeper.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the respective structural units of the Defense Agencies and the French Defense Attache in Georgia, Vice Colonel Frederick Campos.
Notably the Cooperation between Georgia and France is developing efficiently. Within the framework of interregional cooperation, exchanging visits, organising conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and financing a variety of important projects are taking place effectively to boost the relations between both countries in the future as well.
