The fifty students of the internally displaced people category visited the army camp in Akhalkalaki. They belong to the Russian-occupied region of Tskhinvali of the Republic of Georgia.
The army camp project will be organized by the Defense and Education Ministry of Georgia. The participants are teenagers in 10th and 11th grades from Georgia’s Russian-occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) areas. The project was hosted with the aim of raising the patriotic feeling among the visiting students. It also aimed to motivate these visiting children to a “healthy lifestyle” and “form a stately mentality. The event under the project will go on for the next one week.
According to the information, the representative of the Georgian Defence Forces planned to organize “interesting educational meetings” for participants so that they could learn interesting things about the national defense force from a close angle as well.
Organizers of the camp project further added that the project would also enhance the measure to “deepen knowledge” in civil security, the national defense system, and the armed forces among these students who are sometimes subject to hardship in the occupied territories.
The current year edition will witness a number of adventurous activities. The activists will be hosted at the Sachkhere Mountain Training School in western Georgia and the Basic Combat Training Centre in Akhalkalaki as well.
The student will also have the opportunity to visit the Sergeant Academy near the resort town of Kojori near Tbilisi to gain a deep understanding of armed life. It is worth noting that the Camp will welcome a total of 2,160 school students in eight groups this year.
The management made a special arrangement to transport these children to their destination. Luxury buses dropped them off at the camp site. The visiting delegation includes both boys and girls students who seemed very excited to be part of the event.

The Facebook user Eka Gurgenashvili commented, “ Happy holidays.” Many other users also expressed a similar view as well to extend the best wishes to the children.
