Georgia: The Ministry of Culture and Sports has held a disciplinary production to Lasha Bakradze, Director of the State Museum of Georgian Literature named after SP Giorgi Leonidze, about the statement of Lasha Bakradzes on September 3 this year at the event held in Vaso Godziashvili Square.

By studying facts and circumstances and analysis of information, it will be confirmed that Lasha Bakradze has committed a disciplinary offense, which means disregarding or violating the general rules of conduct, unethical behavior, or other acts, resulting in the discreditation of the institution, whether it is committed in or outside the workplace. Based on the conclusion, the Director of the State Museum of Georgian Literature, Lasha Bakradze, was dismissed from his post.

According to the conclusion, it is clear that the announcement of Lasha Bakradze on September 3 damages his reputation as the Director of the Museum of Georgian Literature and undermines the authority of the Museum, which bears the name of Giorgi Leonidze and is determined to protect the interests of Georgian culture. Lasha Bakradze’s statement violates the dignity of both the addresses of this statement and any representative of women by removing freedom of expression and discrimination, and this is not the first case on Lasha Bakradje’s part. Even in professional debates, he stands out with his sexist statements and intellectualism-packed attitude towards women he otherwise accepted.

The public knows that Lasha Bakradze was at the Ministry of Culture and Sports on September 5, where he explained in the card that he used the “wrong word.”

While explaining, it was revealed that Lasha Bakradze addressed the Museum Director (himself) with a statement the previous day, on September 4, and issued the Director’s order N50, by which he sent himself on vacation until October 5.

Therefore, according to the order issued today, Lasha Bakradze will no longer hold the position of Director from October 6.

For information: Lasha Bakradze was appointed Director of the State Museum of Georgian Literature, named after SP Giorgi Leonidze, on March 16, 2010, for an indefinite period.
