Adjara, Georgia: The discussion of the issue of the candidate for the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic represented by the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili for the High Council of Adjara on December 30, 2024.
The candidates for the membership of the government nominated by the Georgian President were terminated in the field committees of the High Council of the Adjara.
Tornike Rizhvadze, the Adjara Government’s chairman; Maya Khajishvili, the minister of education, culture, and sports; Zaza Shavadze, the minister of agriculture; Jaba Putkaradze, the minister of finance and economy; and Nino Nizharadze, the minister of health and social protection, were all represented.
Before introducing the action plan, the candidate for the Adjara government’s chairmanship thanked the populace for supporting the Georgian Dream team in the October 26 elections. He also mentioned that the government’s future vision, strategic directions, and action plan are all predicated on moving towards Europe in a dignified and peaceful manner.
Tornike Rizhvadze also thanked Mikheil Kavelashvili, Georgia’s sixth president, on his election to the nation’s most important position and expressed the hope that the government team’s unity would help further develop peace and prosperity in our nation.
According to Tornike Rizhvadze, the action plan of the Adjara government, in coordination with the Georgian government, is based on the protection of fundamental human rights, and values, long-term inclusive economic development of the region and overcoming all the challenges that the population still faces.
After Tornike Rizhvadze, lawmakers listened to ministerial candidates, got to know their action plans and future visions.
The committees supported the issue of discussion at the plenary session of the Supreme Council of the new government composition.
