Dusheti Youth Center held a meeting on healthy lifestyle

To aware young people on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the youth center held a meeting on 1 May. Many health related issues were discussed during the meeting including eating habits as well.

Dusheti: To aware young people on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the youth center held a meeting on 1 May. Many health related issues were discussed during the meeting including eating habits as well.

A Health expert also gave a presentation on this occasion to the present youngster. This information about the seminar was shared by the Dusheti youth center on their social media handles including their Facebook page. The first topic of discussion was the sleep. Speaking specifically on the topic experts emphasize the role of sound sleep in wellbeing especially for mental health.

In the present digital era, the addiction of digital devises  among the young population is causing multiple health problems including sleep disorders.  The expert advised the young participants to limit the use of electronic devices and reduce screen time.

Another area of the discussion was the eating habits. As most of the dieticians always recommend having  the diet cautiously, similar views were expressed by the key speakers of the event as well.  She stressed that junk food is the biggest unhealthy thing we are putting inside the stomach. She further said that the stomach should be used as a dustbin to through the unhealthy stuff inside.

The youngsters were encouraged to follow the eating etiquette like having breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a fixed time. Moreover, the diet must be full of the required nutrients as well.  Similarly, health experts shared their views on regular exercise. He said that shortage of time should not be the problem as at a later stage there could be serious health complications one has to face.

Exercise is not only mandatory to maintain good physical shape but it can also play a significant role in improving mental health as well.  On the other hand, the participant’s youth also asked their queries which were addressed by the expert on the spot. Most of the questions were asked regarding how they can overcome their addiction to junk food.

In the last the participating youth said that this was a fruitful meeting. They have come to know many new things about their physical as well as mental health.
