The Caucasus University of Georgia organized a public lecture. The theme of the lecture was “Taxes and allowances for small and medium-sized businesses” in Georgia.

The public lecture was led by financier Giga Pertia, representative of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. The guests and audience were greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology Ketevan Nanobashvili and the Head of “Business Incubator” Ia Nadirashvili.

On the occasion the speaker spoke about many issues such as the process of creating a startup ,the ability to manage an idea correctly, the first steps in entrepreneurship, and more.

Giga Pertia while giving practical examples said “When you have a good idea and you want to start a business create a startup and take the first steps towards entrepreneurship it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the Tax Code to benefit from the statuses and favorable tax regimes provided by legislation”.

This Public lecture which was held within the framework of “Business Incubator” was held in question-answer format and witnessed a large participation of the students who wanted to know the successful and time-tested methods to start any new business.

The speakers of the seminar said that the best idea to start is business is to take the first step as startup. They also talked about the initial investment and said the beginning of any new business should be financed with a small investment.

There was discussion among the attendees about the policies and programs that the Georgian government has launched for the support of startups. The scope to get the financial assistance from the government was also discussed.

It was stressed by almost all the key speakers that in the present day the world has become a digitally connected village. The role of the government is very crucial for the transnational business. The governments of different nations can make regional alliances for the support of the startups and the help of new businesses.
