The Minister invited the public to the museum’s permanent exhibition in the renovated second building of the Shalva Amiranashvili State Museum of Art, which will be opened in October 2024. The exhibition will feature a collection of architectural fragments from the Museum of Art, newly restored panels of Niko Firosmanashvili, which have not been exhibited for 60 years due to their difficult condition, Georgian paintings of 1900-1930s, and masterpieces of Western European art preserved in the Museum of Art from Paolo Veneciano to Vasily Kandinski.

During the session, the Minister focused attention on the permanent exposition of Georgian history, which was canceled in 2005. He offered to participate in restoring the concept of the exhibition in the Georgian State Museum named after Janashia and the Academy of Sciences. This concept should be the basis for restoring such an important exhibition from 2025.

In addition, the Minister offered academics the opportunity to view a large-scale exhibition, “Golden Witness—Georgian Art,” which was held at the Krakow National Museum with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

14 Georgian museums and big cultural institutions are participating in the exhibition, including the Louvre, British National Museum, Berlin State Museum, Krakow State Museum, Jerusalem Museum, Wavel Royal Palace, and Warsaw National Museum. They remind the public that the exhibition is open until September 15, 2024.

The Minister also visited the exhibition hall of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, where repair works are currently underway. In the future, exhibits depicting important events and achievements of scientists will be displayed there.
