The Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze, visited public schools and the vocational college of the Lower Kartli region, where he got acquainted with the infrastructural works implemented.

The minister inspected the ongoing works in schools and colleges of Tetritskaro, Tsalki, Bolnisi, and Dmanisi municipalities, which will be completed before the start of the new academic year. He stated, “In September of this year, we will open 7 new fully rehabilitated schools in the Lower Kartli region and a large-scale project – Bolnisi College.”
According to the Georgian Education Minister, Givi Mikanadze, the next generation, their young people, should be educated in a healthy, safe, and comfortable environment. This is the purpose of the initiative of the Head of Government, which aims to improve the educational infrastructure across the country.
In addition to new schools, in the near future, a modern and innovative vocational college with international standards will start functioning in Bolnisi, which will become the most important educational space for the region. The college will allow local people to master the desired professions and then get employed with decent salaries, which will ultimately contribute to the development of human capital and economy in the country,” said Givi Mikanadze.
It is noteworthy that the complete rehabilitation of 7 public schools will be completed before the start of the 2025-2026 academic year in Kvemo Kartli. At the same time, 10 public schools are being constructed and 1 public school is being rehabilitated in the region.
The construction of a large-scale project, Bolnisi Vocational College, has been completed. As a result of the foundation of this college, the lower Kartli region is adding a third vocational educational institution, which offers modern educational infrastructure and high-quality education to the aspirants.
