Tbilisi: A number of new projects are being launched in the Saburtalo district of Tbilisi, Georgia. These are aimed at promoting books and promoting basic education facilities.
It is to be specifically mentioned that this time an event dedicated to Georgian writer and poet Otar Chiladze was held at O. Chiladze Street N166 in the newly arranged recreation area.
Famous writers and actors read Otar Chiladze’s poems and quotes at the event. The family members of the poet spoke about his work which was appreciated by all the present audiences.
It is to be noted that the evening event was attended by local residents and students, as well as Saburtalo district administrator Gizo Vasadze, Deputy Chairman of Tbilisi City Council Tinatin Nibloshvili and Majoritarian MP Avtandil Tsintsadze.
Speaking specifically, Gizo Vasadze stated, “A rest and recreational area was arranged on the street named after Otar Chiladze. Symbolic details have been installed which are dedicated to the great Georgian writer and poet Otar Chiladze. It is important to encourage literacy that is why this square has been established and in the near future, several more educational events will be held”.
He also said that Georgian tradition and culture are very rich, and there is a need to promote the culture in other countries as well.
The event was led by Goga Chanadiri, a member of the Council of Civil Advisers, who spoke about the importance of literature. They also encouraged the attendees to take the important step of promoting Georgian literature across the border of the country.
It is worth mentioning that on the mentioned territory which is 2,500 sq.m. Area M, all relevant park infrastructure, lighting and irrigation networks have been installed, children’s-entertainment and exercise area has been set up. For the entertainment of children there were slides and swings installed. The exercise machine was placed under the plastic tin shed so that it could be used in rain or other adverse weather conditions.
The walls of the recreational park were decorated with different colours. It was also surrounded by iron net fencing.At the conclusion stage the territory became green 1,800 sq.m. In the M area, rolled grass was planted, and about 100 different types of trees and plants were planted. 663 751 GEL was allocated from the local budget for the project, and the works were performed by “Lago” Ltd.
Speaking further, Gizo Vasadze said that the district administration had played a vital role in the past in promoting education and culture. He also assured that such effort would continue in future as well so that every citizen of Georgia got familiar with the cultural values of countries. He also said that education is an important factor in the growth of the individual personality.
He also said that more recreational spaces would be arranged in the locality. The district administration also took to their social media hands to provide information on this development.
