Georgia: Georgian Minister of Culture and Sports Thea Tsulukiani held an external meeting with successful candidates for the National Museum of Georgia’s internship examinations in 2022 – 2019.
The First Deputy Director General of the National Museum of Georgia, Nika Akhalbedashvili, Director of the Museums Group, and Giorgi Kalandia, Director of the Palace of Art of Georgia, were present, together with the Minister.
Thea Tsulukiani emphasized strengthening young people’s role in the Ministry of Culture system and the need to complete them with new, qualified staff. The Minister heard about the activities and plans of young people already employed after internships and internships, wishing them success and productive careers.
13 out of 25 trainees selected as a result of competitions announced by the National Museum in different periods in 2022-year are already employed in other museums that join the National Museum for the following positions: Project Coordinator, Head of Administration Department, Fund Assistant (in various foundations), Tour Guide, Human Resource Management Coordinator, Exhibition Department Assistant to Bashi, Assistant to the procurement department of the Economic Department, Laboratory to the Fund Protection and Withdrawal Department. And the internship with others continues at this stage.
For your information, competitions for young interns are constantly announced in the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Georgia and its administration in various organizations. The intern competition aims to prepare highly qualified staff, develop their professional skills, and improve their practical skills.
To this end, the Ministry of Culture and its governing organizations create conditions for young professionals to build an accessible working environment and creative initiative.
Georgian citizens over 25 who meet the relevant qualification requirements have the right to participate in the competition.
It is worth noting that the competition for the selection of interns was announced three times – in June 2022, January and November 2023. Internships in the museums of the National Museum of Georgia have been announced in the following directions: Guide, Exhibitor, Educational Programs Coordinator, Fund Defender/Assistant Curator, Lawyer, Human Resource Management Specialist, Exhibit Collector, Marketologist/Sales Specialist, Businessman, Project Coordinator/Assistant, Ethnologist, Ethnographer Fi, architect, archaeologist, restorer, procurement specialist, supervisor and more.
