Kakha Bendukidze campus hosts 5 day training for lecturers 

A five-day intensive training was held in the Kakha Bendukidze campus to prepare lecturers. The training program Train-the-Trainer was conducted by international expert Amaury Depaux and representatives of the Agrarian University of Georgia, Tbilisi Free University, and the private sector participated in it.

Tbilisi, Georgia: A five-day intensive training was held in the Kakha Bendukidze campus to prepare lecturers. The training program Train-the-Trainer was conducted by international expert Amaury Depaux and representatives of the Agrarian University of Georgia, Tbilisi Free University, and the private sector participated in it.

Amaury Depaux, a renowned consultant and coach at the prestigious EHL group, led the training program. It’s worth noting that Georgian Agrarian University signed a contract with Swiss EHL Advisory Services, the consulting branch of EHL Hospitality Business School. EHL, founded in 1873 as Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, is the world’s leading university in hospitality and has consistently ranked first among international universities in hospitality management for the past six years according to QS World University Rankings.

During the training, participants went through important issues related to teaching methods:

• Science & Art of Learning (Pedagogy & andragogy; Bloom’s taxonomy)

• Question Techniques (Application of question techniques; Values of questions; Types of questions)

• One-on-One Facilitation (Rationale, caution & premise; Preparation and checklist; Learning plan)

• Feedback, Giving & Receiving (Types of feedback; Feedback vs feedforward; Five criteria of feedback; Impacts of feedback)

• From Teaching to Facilitation (Teaching vs. facilitation; How to Facilitate; Verbal and non-verbal communication)

• Active learning & Storytelling (Definition & importance; 6 types of learning types; Types of learning activities; Storytelling)

• One-On-Many Facilitation (Sequence, objects & activities; Topics and requirements; OOM facilitation checklist)

• Blended Learning & Digital Toolbox (Principles of digital teaching and learning; Traditional vs blended vs flipped learning; Digital toolbox demo).

In order to receive the International Certificate of Swiss University, each participant prepared and submitted One-on-One and One-On-Many video clips according to the training guidelines.

USAID’s help, especially its program “Employers for Vocational Education,” made the project possible.
