Georgia:Â The chairman of the Board of the Notaries Chamber, Ekaterine Nandoshvili, presented last year’s General Assembly report and plans for 2024.
Notably, on the way to Georgia’s European integration, in 2023, an agreement was made between the Chamber of Notaries of Georgia and the Council of Notaries of the European Union.
At the meeting, the chairman of the Notary Chamber focused on the priority directions of the Notary chamber. They spoke about deepening international relations and noted that the agency has participated in several international legal forums organized by the Ministry of Justice over the past year.
Ekaterine Nandoshvili spoke at the general meeting about the advantages of digitizing the sanotary archive and noted that digitization of the notary archive would significantly reduce the time to search for protected documentation in the archive. Citizens will receive fast and complete service in terms of requesting and receiving materials from the Sanotaro Archive.
The Chairman of the Board of the Notaries Chamber touched upon the Minister of Justice’s initiative to establish a research centre, which will play an important role in the development of the notary field.
Ministry of Justice and the Chamber of Notaries is also a priority to refine the sanotary services and offer services of high standard for people with disabilities. In this regard, the Chamber of Notaries is often held.
The General Assembly approved the budget of the Chamber of Notaries for 2024 and elected members of the Disciplinary and Financial Audit Commission.
At the end of the meeting, the ceremony of taking the oath of newly appointed notaries was held.
