The official presentation of the book “History of Georgia” was held at the Embassy of Georgia in Ankara, Turkey on May 31, 2025, Saturday. The Book was authored by the President of Caucasus University, Kakha Shengelia. Notably, the book was translated into the Turkish language.
The Caucasus University (CU) of Georgia shared glimpses of the event on its official Facebook Page. The University also shared a small note about the ceremony along with the photographs.
The Georgian Ambassador to Turkey Archil Kalandia hosted the University President and delegation. The ambassador opened the event with a welcome speech. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of translating Georgian books into Turkish.
He mentioned that the main aim of translation was to raise awareness of the Georgian language, culture, and history among the Turkish people. Archil Kalandia also spoke about the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey.
It is worth noting that the book was translated into Turkish by Harun Chimke. He made a special contribution to getting to know Georgian history better for Turkish readers. The editors are:

- Ketevan Kobuladze
Furthermore, the University President Kakha Shengelia also spoke at the event. He expressed his warm gratitude towards the Ambassador, the Embassy of Georgia in Turkey, the translator, and the Turkish side for their support and cooperation.
According to him, this translation will contribute to deepening cultural and educational relations between Georgia and Turkey. At the end of the event, the CU president signed special copies of the book.

It is noteworthy that except for these delegates, the presentation was also attended by other distinguished guests from the academic community, historians, and members of the diplomatic corps.
