The ensemble consists of the best singers and students from different regions of Georgia, as well as members of famous ensembles such as “Basiani”, “Rustavi”, “Erisioni” and “Didgori”.

The singers underwent unique selection and preparation stages to join the team under the guidance of Giorgi Donadze, the head of the State Folklore Center.

The ensemble has several groups specializing in different styles and genres of Georgian folk music and dance, such as Kartl-Kakhur songs, Svanarian songs, Perkhuli songs, Gurian and Megrelian songs.

The experienced teachers and performers, such as Giorgi Khunashvili, Lika Liparteliani, Sergo Urushadze and Giorgi Donadze, lead these groups. The ensemble’s repertoire’s diversity and uniqueness are critical factors for its success and recognition.

The National Folklore Ensemble of Georgia aims to preserve and promote the rich and diverse heritage of Georgian folk culture nationally and internationally.

The ensemble plans to participate in various festivals and events and collaborate with other folk ensembles and artists. The ensemble also hopes to inspire and educate the younger generation about the beauty and value of Georgian folk traditions.
