The folk ensemble Urmuli of the Republic of Georgia performed at musical event. The Georgian Ministry of Culture and Sports supported the event to promote the culture and music heritage of the country. The ensemble’s performance was held at the stage of the theater named after Kvareli’s Kote Marjanishvili.
The quintet’s “Urmuli” repertoire represents a wide range of traditional Georgian music, melodies, and polyphonic polyphony events, some of which originated in the early Middle Ages. It is to be mentioned explicitly that on this occasion the musicians masterfully arranged these melodies and songs for their instruments and at the same time preserved them in their original form. Georgia’s unique musical culture filled the venue with spirituality and ancient origin which has been preserved for centuries.
The hall was full of audience members who arrived to see the performances of their favorite performers from across the municipality and region. A number of small children were also present there, some of whom arrived with their parents or guardians as well. The ensemble members wore traditional attire reflecting their love for ancient Greek cultural values.
On the other hand they had different musical instruments with them and they played these instruments skillfully . The event also witnessed many group performances along with the solo acts of the individual performers. In the beginning the municipality’s organizers welcomed the artist and informed the participants about the nation’s rich cultural values.
Moreover the key speaker of the event also urged them to tell their children about Georgia’s rich history and culture so that they can carry forward Georgia’s cultural legacy for future generations.
The concert was attended by local residents and invited guests who lauded the artist’s performance. The Kvarelii municipality also shared glimpses of the event on its social media handles. The social media user also appreciated the municipality’s efforts to promote Georgia’s cultural values.
