As per the information shared by the Non-governmental organization EDEC (Education Development and Employment Centre), a social entrepreneurship training course has ended. This was a  60-hour training course  for the students of the vocational schools selected specifically for the program.
The training session attendees also received a certificate of participation in the event. It is worth to mention that a significant number of young people were also part of the event and were there to learn new information about social entrepreneurship.
It is to be mentioned that the experts specially created the training course module. These experts were invited within the framework of the project, who also conducted training for trainers who are actively  implementing the course.
It is also worth mentioning that the first stream of students of “Iberia”, “Construct 2”, “Gantiadi” colleges and Akaki Tsereteli State University Professional Training Center had the opportunity to learn about many topics under this program. Some of the issues that were covered included the determination and calculation of economic indicators necessary for business success.
The course equipped students with practical skills such as setting a future development plan for their entrepreneurial competencies, identifying and optimizing future opportunities, generating, developing and evaluating ideas, business planning, resource management, and simplified financial accounting reporting.
The training was organized within the project “Strengthening social entrepreneurship skills in vocational schools.” This is being implemented by the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) in partnership with ChildFund Deutschland. Moreover  the project is being executed with the active financial support of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development as well.
Social entrepreneurship is a way to motivate startups to bring about changes that have a direct effect on society. This is the latest trend that has been introduced to influence social change.
There are many areas of social entrepreneurship that have the potential to bring the change. Some prominent places of social change include economic development, which consists of the healthcare sector, renewable energy, community development, agriculture, healthcare, gender equality etc.
