Deputy Head of the Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Chief State Inspector Neli Korkotadze, and Head of the Industrial Emissions and Waste Control Service of the Department, Ekaterine Kiskeidze, attended the international summit dedicated to asphalt technologies modified by rubber.
The Environmental Supervision Department of Georgia shared the glimpses of the international summit on its official Facebook Page on March 17, 2026, Tuesday. The department also shared a small note about the meeting, along with its glimpses.
The summit discussed modern approaches to road construction and innovative technologies that ensure long-term durability, economic efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Chairman and members of the board of the internationally recognized organization “Rubberized Asphalt Foundation” shared with the participants of the event their many years of experience in research, development, and implementation of rubberized asphalt technologies.
During his speech at the event, Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture, noted that the implementation of such technologies in Georgia is of the utmost importance in terms of encouraging the circular economy. The circular economy is a priority of Georgia’s environmental policy.
According to the organizers of the conference, the participation of representatives of the Georgian government in the event is of great importance because the purpose of the discussions is to promote knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of sustainable, resilient, and responsible infrastructural solutions for the country.
The Summit of 2026 on Georgian Rubberized Asphalt was organized by A(a)IP “Tegeta Green Planet” and A(a) IP “Georgian Manufacturers’ Extended Liability Association”, and with the support of the international technical partner – RubberizedAsphalt Foundation (RAF).
The event was also attended by Revaz Sokhadze, Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Maia Bitadze, Chairman of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources of the Parliament of Georgia, representatives of various government agencies, common-field experts, and specialists.
