Tbilisi: The Georgian competition and consumer protection agency (GCAA) is all set to launch a training program. This training program namely “consumer rights protection leaders training program “will be held under III International Consumer Rights Protection Week.
Beside enhancing efficiency in its function, the agency is also aimed to train it workforce for effectively conducting its activities and enrich the knowledge of qualified personnel.
At the same time the goal of the project is to develop students’ career, strengthen practical skills and train qualified personnel in the consumer rights protection sector, with a view to future employment.
The agency also invited general public to participate in this significant program. Those interested in the program should submit an article on any issue related to consumer rights protection to the Georgian Competition and Consumer Protection Agency’s e-mail address. The email address of agency is available on official website and social media handles of agency.
The interested person can submit their registration from February 5 to March 8, 2025. Moreover, eligible participants in the competition are anyone having a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree holders and doctoral degree holders of higher education institutions.
The representative of GCCA while sharing their views said, “Within the framework of the leadership training program, one student will be selected as the author of the best paper, who will participate in the opening event of the III International Consumer Rights Week and will undergo a 2-month internship at the GCCA Consumer Rights Department.”
This is also to be noted that, If the internship selected students is successful, the intern will have the opportunity to be employed at the GCCA Consumer Rights Department.
Notably In 2023, within the framework of the I International Consumer Rights Week, the university-educational program “Start a Career at the Competition Agency” was successfully implemented. Within the framework of the competition project, three winning students of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University were selected.
These selected students later completed an internship at the agency, one of whom is now an employee of the Agency.
