The chairman of the government of Adjara Tornike Rizhvadze along with the Minister of Health Nino Nizharadze, congratulated the mother of the newborn twins on Mother’s Day. He Spent some time here with the family as well.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the newborns and their mother is healthy. Moreover better facilities for pregnant women are being provided under the framework of the “Diagnosis and Treatment of Infertility” program.
It is to be added that the program was launched in Adjara in July 2022 and its goal was to reduce the number of childless families and improve the demographic index in the region.
The 16 newborns were born within the program whose families are eligible to get the benefits under this program. Moreover 14 women are currently pregnant and are also eligible to get the benefits under this program as well.
Notably these beneficiary families were given additional vouchers for medicines, child care, and food by the government of Adjara and the Ministry of Health. They will get the maximum benefits as the government is ready to make a healthy nation of healthy people as well.
In 2024 the budget of the program was increased and the circle of beneficiaries was expanded. The program can be used by socially disadvantaged, disabled persons with up to 300,000 rating points, employed in public and private secondary schools, preschools, and educational institutions.
The mother of the twins on the other hand expressed her gratitude towards the Adjara government representative as well. She also said that the assistance being provided under the program is necessary to help the needy families.
The other member of the visiting delegation also said that the local administration will provide the maximum assistance to all especially pregnant women so that they give birth to healthy babies as the health of new born is the priority of the Georgian government.
