Tbilisi: The Georgian Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia met with President Silvan Roy and Vice President Sheryl Coven of the International Organization for “Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture” (CNFA).
 Otar Shamugia thanked the CNFA president for his active support and spoke about programs supporting agricultural development in the country. The Minister focused on CNFA’s new program, “USAID’s Strong Village Program,” which focuses on the development of villages along the occupation line and providing social support for local populations.Â
The goal is to improve well-being. The program will increase socio-economic activities in regions of Georgia, support the establishment of links in regional and national markets, and ensure gender equality and empowerment of women and youth.
 Otar Shamugia underlined the priority of quality wheat production and the popularization of Georgian wine in the American market. As the Minister noted, to produce quality and competitive production in the country, knowledge sharing and the implementation of modern technologies are of particular importance.
 Sylvan Roy said at the meeting that CNFA would support Georgian wine in terms of diversification in the American market. Also, continuing to support international certification in manufacturing will contribute to increasing the country’s manufacturing capacity, efficiency and quality of international standards. USAID’s support will enable manufacturers and processors with state-of-the-art manufacturing, processing, installation and distribution technology to add value and establish local and international markets Rebbie buddy.Â
 At the meeting, the importance of supporting international and donor organizations and sharing world experiences for the development of Georgia’s agriculture sector was emphasized.Â
 The meeting was hosted by Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Nino Tandilashvili, Head of USAID Agriculture Program Luiza Namicheishvili, Head Head of Technical Support of USAID Agricultural Program David Shervashidze and Sa Representatives of relevant agencies entered the Minister’s system were present.
