The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, introduced the new head of the Georgian State Electrosystem, David Vardiashvili, to the employees of the Georgian State Electrosystem.

According to the glimpses shared by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, it should be noted that the Minister congratulated the new Director General on his appointment and wished him successful work.
Furthermore, she thanked the former head of the Georgian State Electrosystem, Vano Zardiashvili, for his work. Vano Zardiashvili resigned from his position based on his own application.
David Vardiashvili has many years of expertise in state government and public service. He served as the Director of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation for Financial Issues, the General Director of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company, and a member and director of the Board of Governors of the Georgian State Electrosystem.
In 2022-2025, he was the First Deputy State Representative – Governor of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In 2016-2017, he was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. He also worked in the Revenue Service structures for 14 years.
David Vardiashvili holds a doctorate in engineering, is an academician at the Engineering Academy of Georgia, and has written several technical-science works and scientific monographs.
