The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office charged one person with intentional murder, domestic violence, attempted to kill policemen, and an attack on a policeman’s vehicle in aggravated circumstances in the village of Bebnisi of Kareli municipality.
According to the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was established that on August 7 this year, based on negotiations in the village of Bebnisi of Kareli, the accused shot one person with a hunting rifle with the motive for revenge. The victim died at the scene. As a result of the shooting, the accused also intentionally endangered the health and life of another person.
Based on the message related to the fact of intentional murder, law enforcers appeared in the village of Bebnisi with south-sided cars. The accused shot two policemen with a hunting rifle, and one of them was targeted with a hunting rifle in his area and tried to shoot. The accused also damaged a car on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After the murder, the accused also physically abused his father.
The accused is charged under Article 109 “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia (Intentional murder by means intentionally endangering the life or health of another person), Article 126 (domestic violence), Article 353 (Assault on a policeman’s vehicle, in connection with business activities) and Article 19-353 Lee (the life of a policeman) Attempted to work related activities) was presented, which considers imprisonment of up to 20 years or life imprisonment. Â
The Prosecutor’s Office addresses the accused by mediating the use of imprisonment as a measure of discipline, within the time set by the law of the court.
