In Kojori, at the Sergeant Academy named after Giorgi Antsukhelidze, the closing event of the “Army Camp” was held, in which the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Baia Kvitsiani, and the Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia, Grigol Giorgadze, participated.

During his speech at the event, Baia Kvitsiani thanked all sides for the work done in organizing the camp and talked about the importance of the “Army Camp” in order to develop state thinking, strengthen patriotic spirit, and promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia, Grigol Giorgadze, also addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

The goal of “Army camp” was to raise patriotic spirit in the younger generation, promote a healthy lifestyle, and raise awareness of the Georgian army.

The project was implemented in two locations – in Kojori, the Sergeant Academy named after Giorgi Ancukhelidze, and Sachkher municipality, in the mining training school named after Colonel Besik Kutateladze. During eight rotations, about 1,700 students of 9th, 10th and 11th grades participated.

The camp program included both theoretical and practical training. Students mastered fire training, topography and military navigation, studied first aid and methods of evacuation of the injured. The program also included self-rescue, engineering and mountain training courses.

In 2026, the “Patriarchal Hour” was added to the “Army Camp” program for the first time, during which clergy held meetings with teenagers on the topic: “The harmful effects of drugs and alcohol and family values”.

At the end of the event, the pupils participating in the camp were given souvenir gifts, certificates, and soldier identification tokens.

The event was also attended by Alexander Kajaia, the head of the Youth Agency, and his first deputy, Tornike Shubitidze, representatives of the Defense Forces and the Patriarchate of Georgia.

The project has been implemented since 2023 at the initiative of the Strategic Communications and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and with the support of the Patriarchate of Georgia.
