Tbilisi: On the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the first stage of the certification process for those who wish to become a director of a public school – testing was held in one session on January 22, at 12:00. The first Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Makharashvili visited the examination centers located in Tbilisi and got acquainted with the testing process on the spot.
Before the testing, Tamar Makharashvili personally talked to the candidates for directorship and wished them success. According to him, a calm, comfortable and academic environment was provided for the applicants in the examination centers, where they were given the opportunity to show their abilities to the maximum extent.
The testing was conducted in cooperation with various agencies and organizations, organized by the Education Management Information System of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
49 examination centers were functioning throughout the country. 3,205 applicants for the directorship passed the registration for testing, and 1,839 applicants appeared on the spot.
The duration of the testing was 5 hours, and applicants with vision problems were given an additional 30 minutes, based on the submission of a relevant application and medical report.
Applicants will be able to understand the test results through the website of the Education Management Information System as well as the official website of Georgian Ministry of Education and Science by specifying the unique code assigned during registration.

In case of successful passing of the test, the applicants for directorship will move to the next stage of certification, which involves an interview.
On the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, from October 24, free webinars, informational meetings and relevant consultations will be available for each public school director.Â
