Tbilisi: The  Education Ministry of Georgia has started the process of evaluation and public review of some textbooks of all XI and X grade.During the process of evaluation, all of the interested persons, including parents, teachers, educational specialists and organizations, will have the opportunity to participate in the evaluation of textbooks (anonymous copies).
 All textbooks, from March 2 to March 31, on the Griffy electronic portal – https://grifireba.emis.ge/ will be posted publicly. The Education Ministry will also provide an option where everyone will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the content of the textbooks of the interesting subject/knowledge textbooks and leave a comment in the relevant field.
After having the textbooks reviewed by the interested parties, the feedback/comments left by those interested parties on the portal will be discussed by textbook reviewers’ subject groups made up of national curriculum experts, practitioner teachers, field scientists, psychologists, philologists and other specialists.Â
In the case of argued remarks, the opinions expressed in the form of comments will reflect the textbook’s final review, which in turn will be mandatory for the author in the grievance process.
 It is noteworthy that after the completion of the notification about the guidelines grievance, 41 of the submitted applications have been successfully checked and moved to the review stage.
 The process of reviewing the guidelines will end on June 19, and the decision on granting the Griff will be made no later than June 20, 2023. The process of the final selection of textbooks will be carried out by the general educational institutions from June 22 to July 2.
 If more than three textbooks in a subject pass the review stage, the school will be able to choose from the top three of the rankings, which makes for the best utility for the grade X and X1 students.
