As the Republic of Georgia gained the status of the candidate country of the Europen Union last year the country is celebrating “Europe Day 2024” first time. The Country is also aspiring to be a full-fledged member of the Europan Union in near time.
The May 11 has been earmarked by Georgia to host the event of Europe Day 2024. Pawel Herczynski while addressing the attendees said that “ I would like to welcome everyone present here today. I am delighted to see that Georgia is celebrating this day first time being the candidate country of the European Union.”
He also stated” Today we on this special day are celebrating the success of 27 countries with different histories and cultures, standing on common values. This day is specially dedicated to peace, unity, and diversity of the whole region of the European Union. These peace, unity, and diversity are the values that have already united the European Union and Georgia for a long time.”
Speaking further the Ambassador said that the Europan Union membership will provide more opportunities for young people. At the same time this will further provide economic strength for families and a decent life for older people.
We always wanted Georgia to become part of this Union as soon as possible. In the following years, the Union will have to decide the future of Georgia as a member of the EU.
He also said “ This is a golden opportunity that should not be missed at any cost. As time is fastly running out we cannot waste this precious time. Georgians are creating their future. You should stay on track to get into the EU fold as soon as possible.
While concluding his speech Ambassador said “ I am sure that you enjoy the variety of activities being presented here. You will have fun with your friends and family members as well on this historic day. Once again happy Europe Day to all of you.
