Georgia: The Director of the Maritime Transport Agency discussed with the French Ambassador to Georgia about deepening cooperation with the French maritime state and educational institutions.

The main topics of discussion were the enforcement of sanctions, maritime security, the involvement of Georgia on international platforms, and the country’s long-term strategic interests in the maritime field.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that 100% of the obligations under the contract of association of Georgia have been implemented. Keeping this in mind, Georgia has moved to the stage of a dynamic approach, where the legislation already reflects renewed standards.

At the meeting, the Georgian side presented information in detail about monitoring and control mechanisms in Georgian ports.

The meeting also emphasized Georgia’s interest and readiness to deepen relations with both the French maritime state and educational institutions, as well as the European Maritime Security Agency (EMSA) and the Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control (Paris MoU), which will contribute to strengthening the port state supervision mechanisms, the country Improving the standards in Ana and international reputation of Georgia To prove it even more.
