The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, met with the winners of the “Master’s Programs in France Excellence 2026-2027” program.
The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia shared glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on August 18, 2026, Tuesday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
According to the small note shared by the Georgian Education Ministry, it should be noted that the Minister congratulated the young people on receiving scholarships and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Givi Mikanadze emphasized the importance of the jointly administered master’s program with the French side and noted that in recent years, important and fruitful cooperation in higher education has been formed between Georgia and France.
The program “Master’s programs in France France Excellence” has been implemented every year since 2016. From 2026, the program will be implemented by the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, and from France – the French Embassy.
It should also be noted that the main aim of the program was to promote education for Georgian citizens in French higher education institutions, as well as to deepen partnership relations between the two countries in the field of education.
From 2016 to 2026, 103 scholarships were funded under the France Excellence program. They have been allowed to continue postgraduate studies at French higher education institutions in fields such as information technology, social sciences, humanities, agriculture, engineering, mathematics, statistics, and management.
