Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Health of Georgia recently visited and inspected the Batumi Republican Hospital. Minister during her visit got acquainted with the current situation in the medical institution. He was accompanied by the First Deputy Minister Tamar Gabunia.
During his brief visit there Mikheil Sarjveladze discussed the needs of the medical department with the heads of the clinic and doctors. He further discussed the clinic, opportunities to further improvement in existing services, and future development plans. According to Mikheil Sarjveladze to further improve service standards, the Ministry is actively working in collaboration with the clinic.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Republican Hospital of Batumi has 180 beds and provides multifaceted medical services to the population of the Adjara region. The hospital facility has a dialysis center which serves 95 patients. Batumi Republican Hospital was one of the first to meet the standards of resuscitation and surgical services, which started in the year 2023 in the country.
In Batumi Republican Hospital was also visited by Nino Nizhardze, Republic Minister of Health and Social Protection of Adjara, and acting director of Georgian Medical Holding Lado Shelia. The hospital building is a reflection of the architectural wonder with a beautiful façade. The rooms and isolated wards are there to cater the the personal needs of indoor and outdoor patients as well.
The hospital also has modern machines for the best diagnosis of almost all diseases. The Health Minister also interacted with the management of the hospital to get updated information about all existing services. He also asked them to tell any problems they are facing and need the government’s assistance.
The minister also talked to the patient and updated himself about any particular requirement or assistance that the government should provide. The Ministry of Health shared the information on their social media handles.
