Tbilisi: The Geographical availability of the State Program for Diabetes Management has increased by the action of Ministry of Health of Georgia, therefore children with diabetes will be able to use the program in Gori.
Within the framework of the voucher, the services of children with diabetes include:
• Provision of analytical and technical means;
• Endocrinologist consultation/supervision;
• Determination of glycohemoglobin by capillary blood (once a quarter);
• Monitoring of eye diseases caused by diabetes (including fundu camera);
• Medical education of beneficiaries of the program and their parents;
• Providing physical rehabilitation, if the patient wishes;
• Provide medical records and prescription to patients who do not require medication dosage correction, if necessary.
And the others.
The Ministry of Health of Georgia continues to work actively for further expanding the geographical access of the State Program for Diabetes Management so that the beneficiaries can receive services in their desired region.
