Marneuli Municipality, Georgia: The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Baia Kvitsiani, held a regular meeting within the framework of the project “Public Dialogue on Inclusive Education” in Marneuli. It was attended by representatives of the school community and parents of the students.
The Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia shared the glimpses of the meeting on its official Facebook Page on April 8, 2026, Wednesday. The Georgian Education Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
According to Baia Kvitsiani, meetings in this format are an important mechanism for identifying challenges in the planning process of inclusive education policy, which in turn will help to ensure an environment tailored to each child’s individual needs.
During the panel discussion of the meeting, the focus was on the transition between phases of education for children with special educational needs, adaptation of educational resources, and the needs of ethnic minority representatives.
After the event, a focus group was held, where the participants identified the specific challenges of the students and set out ways to overcome them.
Within the framework of the project “Public Dialogue on Inclusive Education”, meetings with teachers, parents, and relevant field specialists are held in all regions across the country.
The meeting held in Marneuli was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of State in the Lower Kartli Region, Avtandil Chrikishvili, the Mayor of Marneuli Municipality, Dauri Ismailov, other representatives of the local government, as well as the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, and the National Center for Teachers’ Professional Development.
