Georgia: The Complete rehabilitation of kindergarten No. 23 has been completed in Rustavi. The project was implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia.
The Rustavi City Hall shared the glimpses of the construction site on its official Facebook Page on October 1, 2025, Wednesday. The City Hall also shared a small note about the construction works along with its glimpses.
Nino Latsabidze stated, “With the support of the central government in Rustavi, today unprecedentedly many projects are being implemented and in the direction of preschool education, 4 kindergartens are being constructed and rehabilitated in the city.”
She also highlighted that improving preschool infrastructure is a key step toward ensuring equal educational opportunities from an early age. According to her, creating a safe and modern environment for children helps parents as well, by giving them confidence that their kids are in the best possible care.
Before the beginning of the upbringing process in the new kindergarten, an open day was organized for the little ones, and the Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia, Revaz Sokhadze, visited the building together with the Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, and Beka Urushadze, the director of the Municipal Development Foundation.
As part of the project, the existing infrastructure was completely renovated: playing and bedrooms, wetting areas, recreational areas, courtyard, and all necessary indoor and outdoor spaces. The kindergarten building is fully adapted for children with special needs.
As a result of rehabilitation, a safe, comfortable, and development-oriented environment was created for 200 children. The refurbished kindergarten includes modern learning, recreation, and administrative spaces to suit the needs of preschool children.
Security, heating, electricity, and sewerage systems have been arranged.
The project was funded by the state and its value is up to 5 million GEL.
The Municipal Development Fund, with the support of the Georgian Government, is implementing the construction and rehabilitation project of 4 kindergartens in Rustavi, in total, whose total cost is 23 427 825 GEL.
