Mariam Lashkh, the first deputy chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee of Georgia, met with the Hungarian delegation. It was a delegation of the legislative directorate of the Hungarian National Assembly. At this bilateral meeting, both parties discussed the relationship between both countries.
Mariam Lashkhi, at the meeting, while addressing the delegation, said that there were many positive outcomes of the meeting between both sides. She also stated that both parties had shown their interest in enhancing mutual cooperation.
She also stated that the enhanced bilateral relations among both countries will benefit the common people of both countries in very ways . Moreover, strong bilateral relations will also provide a larger opportunity for the business community of both countries.
The multinational companies of both countries can also expand their business establishment and branches in another country without any big trouble.
Minister Mariam Lashkh also specifically stated that “ at this meeting, we discussed the structural, technical and software issues of the parliament of Georgia and their approximation standard up to European level. We talked about the specific initiative, including the twining program and cooperation between both the parliaments. As per the guests , they also learned a lot from the meeting, specifically in the direction of information technology development. Hungary stands out in terms of its support for our entry into the family of the European Union, and I hope that this attitude and support will help us to become members of the European Union even faster”.
On the other hand, the Hungarian delegation also expressed its gratitude for the warm reception. They also said that the response of the Georgian side was very positive.
The delegation further added that in the future, Hungary would take all the necessary measures to increase its interaction with Georgia. The delegation also congratulated the Georgian Minister for granting Candidate status to the European Union, which was announced recently.
