Georgia: On the initiative and direct involvement of the centre employees, a 3-hour activity was held specifically for them. Each pupil was given a multi-component gift set of “Chkhirkedela”, which was given to them on the spot. The first study was attended by 30 Ukrainian pupils of the primary class of the 41st public school.
According to Berika Shukakidze, head of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, after the war trauma, such activities are especially important for the further development and remediation of Ukrainian students in Georgia.
Chkhirkedela Science Club will conduct six practical lessons for Ukrainian students in ten days, according to age group, during which they will learn the basics of electrical engineering and programming.
During the activity, electronic components will be used in the primary classes, the kit of which will be given to them as a gift. And, 7th and 8th graders will work with the Arduino microcontroller. They will also receive a special set as a gift.
Chkhirkedela Model Club was established within the framework of the natural sciences support program of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development.
The aim of the club is to increase the professionalism of teachers in STEM approaches and to increase the involvement of students in the teaching of science subjects.
