Georgia: The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to create European standard working conditions for police officers, improve police infrastructure and upgrade the vehicle fleet.
The Director of the Patrol Police Department, Vazha Siradze, handed over 10 new sedan-type, hybrid-powered vehicles to the Kvemo Kartli Main Division of the Patrol Police Department.
The purpose of improving the police infrastructure in the Ministry is to increase the efficiency of police work and create better, more comfortable working conditions for police officers.
Vazha Siradze held an official meeting with the staff of the Kvemo Kartli Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, informed them about the planned and ongoing projects and gave relevant instructions regarding the work process. Vazha Siradze also visited the Rustavi Unified Service Center of the Patrol Police Department and talked to the staff.
It should be noted that the new vehicles are economical, which will reduce administrative costs, in particular, fuel and service costs. At the same time, the new cars have minimal emissions and are environmentally friendly vehicles. After Batumi and Kobuleti, ecologically safe and modern police vehicles in Rustavi will completely replace the fuel-only vehicles of the patrol police.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs regularly updates its vehicle fleet. Last year, the fleet of police units was renewed with up to 700 new vehicles.
