The New Vision University of Georgia and the Italian football club “Inter Milan” have extended the contract. The contract’s term has been extended by five more years to promote football in Georgia under the guidance of professional trainers of Italian club.
With this new revision of the contract between both sides it will now go up to summer 2029. It is to be added that “ Inter Academy Georgia” is a project created in partnership between New Vision University and Inter Milan football club. The project aims to develop and educate young football players based on Inter’s club methodology.
It is to be specifically mentioned that the Inter Milan academy which has been operating in Tbilisi since 2022 currently has about 500 players for world-class training in a football game to compete at international tournaments. Notably under the framework of the project Inter academy players constantly visit Georgia and involved in upgrading the gaming skills and qualifications of young football players of Georgia.
Moreover every year players and coaches from one of the “Inter Academy Georgia” teams travel to Milan, where they take part in activities specially created by the Inter Milan club, attend home match, get training under Italian coaches, and play friendly matches with local teams to upgrade.
It should be noted that in the current season the “Inter Academy of Georgia” under-16 team achieved success in the international arena and took first place at the Elite Neon Cup tournament in Greece which shows the advantages of this partnership.
At the same time players of Inter Academy Georgia used to participate in the under-15 and under-16 matches held in Georgia. The Inter Academy of Georgia was also involved in the Legends Series match which took place in Batumi between the Georgian and Inter Legends Club teams.
According to the information various events and activities are planned in the academy in collaboration with the Inter Milan Club of Italy during the next five years. New Vision University also shared this information on its official Facebook page along with a glimpse of the representatives from both sides.
