Samegrelo, Georgia: The pediatric department was operated in Rukhi Republic Hospital. The Georgian Minister of Health, Mikheil Sarjveladze, inspected the new infrastructure together with Malkhaz Zhorzhikashvili, Director of Medical Holding of Georgia.
Notably, the Multidisciplinary diagnostics and full laboratory tests are available in the newly opened unit. Also, high-tech procedures such as CT and MRI are provided on-site for small patients. The mentioned equipment is fully adapted to the needs of children.
The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons, Labor, Health, and Social Welfare of Georgia shared the glimpses of the new facilities added to the Rukhi Republic Hospital and also the inspection works by the Health Minister on its official Facebook Page on June 1, 2026, Monday. The Georgian Health Ministry also shared a small note about the facilities along with their glimpses.
The Minister of Health focused on the strategic importance of the clinic and noted that a child-friendly environment, highly qualified staff, and ultra-modern equipment will be equally available to small patients living in both the region and the occupied territories.
According to the Minister, the government is continuing to expand the geographical access to medical services to enable the population to get high-quality services on site. At the same time, Rukhi Republic Hospital is gradually developing and offers the region medical services that patients have been traveling to the capital for years. At this point, the pediatric emergency service and reception department are already fully functional in the clinic, which works 24 hours a day.
It should also be noted that the development of pediatric care in Rukhi Republic Hospital will continue. Within the framework of plans, in the near future, the establishment of pediatric resuscitation and surgical profile departments in the clinic is also planned.
