Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that voting would be ensured at all the embassies and diplomatic missions of the country in foreign nations.

This statement by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze came today. He also expressed hopes that the people will again elect the Georgian Dream party due to the Government’s public-oriented policies.

The Prime Minister on Saturday vowed to ensure voting in all embassies and diplomatic missions so that citizens living abroad can also participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in October this year.

It is to be specifically mentioned that “All immigrants who have already expressed their wish to cast the vote will have the opportunity to do so, all the rest is speculation, Kobakhidze noted in his comments to the media.”

He further acknowledged the existing mobility issues for citizens abroad, stressing that polling stations would be arranged wherever possible so that everyone could have access to the voting process as well.

Moreover, the PM also added that “the only thing that the opposition has on their agenda is to discredit the Central Election Commission somehow, but they will fail to succeed”.As per PM, radical opposition had no basis for criticising the CEC, which “has been working properly for all these years

The PM also claimed that current data showed the ruling Georgian Dream party would secure a majority in the Parliament in the October elections. The number of supporters of the biggest opposition party, the United National Movement, has fallen to the biggest low and stated that the other parties would probably not be able to overcome the barrier.

It is to be added that the opposition parties are also claiming their victory. As per the opposition parties, the ruling party has not fulfilled many poll promises, and the people of the country will elect a new government for the better future of the country as well.
