The officers of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained three people in connection with the murder that took place in Tbilisi as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative actions.
Born in 1995, K.M. was arrested for organizing violence, especially for covering up a serious crime and for not reporting a particularly serious crime, and G.M., born in 1996; and Sh.Ch., born in 2004. are arrested for reporting a severe crime.
The offences carry a maximum sentence of 6 to 15 years in prison.
The investigation revealed that one of the accused – a relative of K.M. – had a disagreement with K.M., born in 1993. On June 17 of the current year, the accused K.M., in order to physically retaliate against the mentioned relative, met his friends – G.M., Sh.Ch. and D.M.
According to a pre-arranged plan, he handed the accomplices batons, turbans, and jackets and drove in a car belonging to one of the accused to the area adjacent to K.M.’s residential building.
The investigation also confirmed that D.M. had stabbed K.M., born in 1993, in the chest with a cold weapon, after which the wounded K.M. shot D.M. from a firearm.
As a result of the wounds inflicted, K.M. Died shortly after being taken to the hospital. As for D.M., who was exposed to the murder, he is still in the hospital.
All three people accused of the crime were arrested by law enforcement within a few hours of the incident, on a hot pursuit.
Police seized the tools – a knife, a truncheon and a firearm – as evidence.
The cases of premeditated murder, organization of group violence, covering up a particularly serious crime and not reporting a particularly serious crime are being investigated under Articles 108, 225, 375 and 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
