The Georgian Health Ministry has stated that the nation has reported 19,968 new cases of Coronavirus with 23,675 recoveries and 55 deaths in the past 24 hours.
According to the data, the positivity rate in Georgia for the past two weeks stands at 30.24%.
Overall, there are still 224,391 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.
As per the reports, a total of 64,187 tests were conducted all over the country in the past 24 hours. Among 64,187 tests that were conducted throughout the country, 39,833 were rapid antigen tests, while the remaining 34,354 were PCR tests.
According to the data, a total of 6,098 individuals are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today, and 1,244 patients are in severe condition, out of which 275 are on artificial ventilation.
However, 216,424 people are undergoing treatment at home by self-isolating and consulting their family doctor.
Moreover, since February 2020, the nation has reported a total of 1,418,027 cases of Coronavirus in the country.
The new 19,968 cases of Covid-19 were reported in many parts of Georgia. Tbilisi – 9,493 cases, Adjara – 1,654, Imereti – 2,760, Kvemo Kartli – 980, Shida Kartli – 1,184, Guria – 580, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti – 1,327, Kakheti – 1,110, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 410, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 371, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 99.
The proportion of people fully vaccinated in Georgia is quite low as compared to many other countries. As per figures, around 33.1 % of the total population in Georgia are fully vaccinated, accounting for 12.3L people. So far, around 28.5L vaccine doses are administered in Georgia.
Overall, 1,341,732 people are jabbed with at least one dose of any vaccine in the nation so far, while 1,230,594 people have been fully vaccinated, accounting for 42.8% of the country’s adult population.
