In Georgia, the health authorities said that the country had recorded 4,775 new cases of Coronavirus, with 19,242 recoveries and 32 fatalities in the past 24 hours. According to Health Ministry, the positivity rate for the past two weeks stands at 31.28 per cent.Â
As of now, there are currently 129,978 active cases of Coronavirus throughout the country.
Moreover, according to the Health Ministry, a total of 18,351 tests were conducted throughout the country within the past 24 hours, out of which 11,329 were rapid antigen tests, and the remaining 7,022 were PCR tests.
Since February 26, 2020, the country has recorded a total of 1,553,668 cases of COVID-19. Out of 1,548,893 cases of Coronavirus, a total of 1,407,776 patients have recovered, while 15,888 people have succumbed to it.
The new 4,775 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in several parts of the country.Â

The new Omicron variant of Coronavirus accounts for about 85 per cent of confirmed Covid-19 cases.
Furthermore, there are currently 5,585 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals in Georgia, while 123,497 people are undergoing treatment at homes by consulting their family doctors.
Besides this, 1,246 infected people are in critical condition, out of which 289 people are on artificial ventilation.Â
Until now, around 33.4% of the total population of Georgia has been fully vaccinated, which accounts for 12.4L people. As of now, around 28.8L doses of vaccine has been administered.
Earlier this month, the Georgian authorities have also reduced the self-isolation and quarantine period to 5 days for some specific patients employed in some particular government fields.Â
Moreover, last Tuesday, the government has announced that they have allowed to re-open nightspots from March 5-6 with a maximum of 60%.
