Within the framework of the selection competition for the architectural concept for the rehabilitation of the Ganmukhuri and Anaklia coastlines, a competition committee meeting was held.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia shared the glimpses of the committee meeting on its official Facebook Page on January 8, 2026, Thursday. The Georgian Ministry also shared a small note about the meeting along with its glimpses.
According to the short note shared by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, it should be noted that the concepts presented by three architectural bureaus participating in the competition were discussed at the meeting.
The goal of the competition is to select the best architectural concept for the rehabilitation and development of the coastal infrastructure and recreational spaces, which ensures the maximum use of the tourist potential of the territory.
The proposals considered the restoration and development of existing infrastructure, as well as the addition of new functional and recreational facilities.
The Ministry emphasized that special attention is being paid to sustainable development, environmental protection, and harmony with the natural landscape.
In order to make a final decision, the competition commission also held a meeting with representatives of the bureaus participating in the architectural competition for the Tsnori multifunctional complex. The technical and functional parameters of the submitted concepts were discussed in detail at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, Deputy Minister of Sports Irakli Medzmariashvili, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund Beka Urushadze, Mayor of Zugdidi Municipality David Kodua, Mayor of Sighnaghi Municipality Makhaz Begiashvili, and members of the competition commission, including architects and art historians. The competition commission will decide on both competitions in the coming days.
