Seoul, South Korea: The Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, Solomon Pavliashvili, attended the prestigious international exhibition “Seoul Wine and Spirits Expo 2025.” It represented Georgia’s rich winemaking tradition, also marking a significant step in boosting Georgian wine exports and international recognition.
The Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia shared the glimpses of international exhibition on its Official Facebook page on June 30, 2025, Monday. The Ministry also shared some details related to the event along with its photographs.
It is worth noting that Six Georgian wine companies took part in the exhibition, which gave Georgian producers the opportunity to present their products to local wine professionals, importers, and media representatives. Such events represent one of the most important mechanisms for the growth of Georgian wine export and its popularity in international markets.
According to the details shared by the Georgian Environment and Agricultural Ministry, Solomon Pavilashvili addressed the community with a welcome speech in which he noted, “Georgia is the oldest winemaking country, which is already distinguished by its modern and developed winemaking industry.”
He also stated, “One of the main tasks of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture is to diversify Georgian wine markets and find alternative directions.”
In the process of gaining momentum in international markets and finding stable partners, the state has consistently supported the private sector. “The main goal of our delegation’s visit to Seoul is to promote and increase the awareness of Georgian wine and alcoholic beverages in the Korean wine market“, added Solomon Pavliashvili.
The exhibition was also attended by Zurab Vacharadze, Deputy Chairman of the National Wine Agency and Ambassador of Georgia in the Republic of Korea Tarash Papaskua.
